Ask Abby

Have a question about attachment? Send it in โ€” I read every message and answer what I can.

Your questions, answered with care

Attachment patterns touch every part of our lives โ€” relationships, self-worth, the way we show up when things get hard. If you've been wondering why you keep falling into the same patterns, or what secure attachment actually looks like in real life, this is the place to ask.

I answer selected questions in my newsletter and on social media (always anonymously, with your permission). If you're looking for personalized support, you can also book a coaching session.

Submit Your Question

All submissions are confidential unless you give permission to share.

I typically respond within 5โ€“7 business days. For urgent support, please reach out to a licensed therapist.

Common Questions

Will you answer my question personally?

I read every single submission. I answer selected questions publicly (always anonymously unless you say otherwise) and may follow up by email for particularly rich questions. I can't guarantee a personal reply to every message, but I do see them all.

Is this a substitute for therapy?

No โ€” and I want to be clear about that. I'm an attachment coach and educator, not a licensed therapist. What I offer is psychoeducation, perspective, and practical tools. If you're dealing with trauma, clinical anxiety, or depression, please work with a licensed mental health professional.

What's the difference between Ask Abby and coaching?

Ask Abby is for general questions that you're curious about โ€” great for learning, getting a new angle, or figuring out if coaching might help. Coaching is for doing the real work together: identifying your specific patterns, building new responses, and getting personalized support over time.

Can I submit anonymously?

You're welcome to use a pseudonym for your name. I do ask for an email address in case I want to follow up, but I will never share it or use it for anything other than responding to your question.

Ready for deeper support?

One-on-one coaching goes further than any answer I can give here.
